I am officially ‘turkeyed’ out. In saying that, turkey curry is just around the corner. I hope you had a fab Christmas. We had a ball. Santa arrived and my kids loved it. At ages 7 & 4 it’s fair to say it was magical. Tip toeing down the stairs and then ‘boom’ wrapping paper everywhere. I was so precise as a child contemplating which present to open next. My kids however dive straight in and everything is unwrapped in a few minutes. I’ve had lots of family time this Christmas which has been amazing and got the chance to catch up with some old friends as well. You know it’s true friendship as you pick up where you left off. Super! I ventured to the shops, once with Julia (child free) with all good intentions of treating each other with a few gifts. Typical, I couldn’t find anything I was dying about. Anyhow, Christmas lived up to our expectations and more. Also, the Ham on Christmas Day left me asking yet again, why don’t we cook it that way sometime during the year?

There are moments when I look upon the new year and fear that it won’t live up to what the year before has given me. It’s the end of 2018 and I look back smiling at the opportunities and experiences I have had this year. It has exceeded all my expectations and with 2019 looming I hope and dream for more of the same.
One thing I have learned over the years is that opportunities and experiences don’t just land on your plate. You got to get out there,  tell people what it is you want to achieve, to seek advice and try and make it happen. No one is going to come to your home, ring the doorbell and say, ‘come on I have a job for you’.  To every person I have worked with this year, thank you.

I am extremely grateful for many things I have in my life right now. Firstly, my family. They are No 1, they mean everything to me and I am so thankful for their love and support. The experiences that have come my way and the wonderful friends I have and have made this year. I believe,  to know where you are going, you firstly got to know where you are and realise what you have. I am very lucky.
I hope for growth, good times and health for my family in 2019. For you, I wish the same. I hope success and fun is bestowed on you along with health and well-being.  Every day is a gift, go grab it and make the most of it. Dream big!

If I had to pick one thing that I wanted to achieve in 2019. It would be to make the most of everyday.
Wishing you a very Happy New Year. Here’s to 2019. ?
